Tandem Clinic |
This course is for acquiring a TII or TIII rating and is two
days of testing and instruction for those who would like to become ambassadors for the sport of Paragliding by being able to fly tandem passengers.

Tandem I Class |
Prerequisite: Advanced rating, turbulence
sign off, 200 hours of logged airtime, or 100 hours with 500 flights of at least 500 feet vertical descent, or 100 hours with 500 flights of 2 minutes or longer.
This rating is a student tandem rating and will allow the pilot to practice tandem flights with other rated USHGA pilots. This is usually but not necessarily an individualized private course. Please contact

Tandem ll Clinic |
Prerequisite:
current USHGA tandem l rating, at least 25 logged tandem flights 2 minutes or longer. This two day clinic can only be attended if the preceding requirements have been met.This rating allows the recipient to fly with
passengers who are current plasticized card holding Para l USHGA members. Temporary rating forms are not accepted. Must attend clinic to receive rating and must receive endorsement by the candidate's Regional Director.
Tandem ll pilots can not accept any form of remuneration for their services.

Tandem lll (Tandem Instructor) Clinic |
Prerequisite:
the same as Tandem ll. This rating allows the recipient to fly recreational or instructional flights with students who have in their possession a USHGA student rating (or higher). This is the only commercial tandem rating. If you want to pass the tandem clinic it is recommended that you have 40 or more tandem flights before attending. Tandem proficiency skill level is required for achieving this rating. Must attend clinic to receive rating and must receive endorsement by the candidate's Regional Director after having attended the clinic.
